Role in StARE
Nireas-IWRC participates in all Work Packages of StARE and undertakes all the tasks required according to the proposal agreement. Nireas-IWRC acts as the leader of WP3, which focuses on the evaluation and optimization of various advanced treatment technologies (biological and chemical oxidation processes) for the removal of antibiotics, antibiotic-resistant bacteria and resistance genes from wastewater effluents. Through Nireas-IWRC’s contribution, the most efficient and economically viable technologies will be determined.
